The Nixon Fork Mine operated as a high grade / low tonnage gold
producer from 1995 to 1999, then briefly in 2007. Fire River Gold is
a Vancouver based junior mining company and a member of the
international Metals Group. The mine is currently being re-opened
for diamond drilling and eventual production, anticipated for spring
2011.

Project Engineer (Mining)
Fire River Gold has an immediate need for a Project Engineer
for its Nixon Fork Mine Project near McGrath, Alaska.
The site has a functional ~200 tpd mill with gravity and
flotation circuits. A CIL circuit was also designed, procured
and partially installed for the purpose of increasing overall
recovery to 97% and to reprocess gold from the existing high
grade tailings pond.
The ideal candidate will be:
a registered professional mining engineer
with at least ten years of experience in mine
engineering including operations and consulting
Competence in mine planning software is required
This position will report to the VP Mining. Preliminary
duties will be to manage technical studies prepared by outside
consultants and prepare a final mine plan. Once in
operations, he or she will focus on operational improvement for
Nixon Fork Mine and work assist the VP Mining in evaluating
other projects for JV or takeover opportunities.
This position is based in Vancouver with some travel
requirements, particularly to the project site in Alaska. A
competitive salary and benefits are available to the right

both countries or be eligible for a TN visa application.
Project Geologist
The ideal candidate will have resource modeling experience using Gemcom
and previous experience with skarns. Other principal activities include
logging core, and underground mapping.
He or she must be able to work in the United States or be eligible for a
TN1 visa application and be willing to travel.
This is a site-based position in a remote camp. An extended schedule of
work at site is required, with a minimum rotation of three weeks in and two
weeks out.
Mill Superintendent
Fire River Gold has an immediate need for a Mill
Superintendent for its Nixon Fork Mine Project near McGrath,
Alaska.
The site has a functional ~200 tpd mill with gravity and
flotation circuits. The gold traditionally reported as follows:
20% to gravity, 63% to a copper concentrate for shipment
offsite, and 17% to tailings. A CIL circuit was also designed,
procured and partially installed for the purpose of increasing
overall recovery to 97% and to reprocess gold from the existing
high grade tailings pond.
The ideal candidate will have:
at least ten years of experience in gravity recovery,
copper flotation, and leaching at operating mines and/or
mine development projects
An engineering degree in metallurgy or mineral
processing would be preferred but not essential.
This position will report to the General Manager. Preliminary
duties will be to act as owner's representative for the
completion of the CIL plant and re-commissioning of the mill,
conduct a critical review of mill production capability to
identify and eliminate choke points, prepare the mill for
operations, and supervise and train future mill operations
staff. Once in operations, he or she will be responsible for the
safety, coordination and production output of milling
operations.
This is a site-based position with an excellent permanent camp
and facilities. An extended rotational schedule of work at site
is required, working 12 hour shifts. This applicant must have a
legal right to work in the USA or be eligible for a TN visa.
Production Geologist
Fire River Gold has an immediate need for a Production
Geologist for its Nixon Fork Mine Project near McGrath, Alaska.
The site has a functional ~200 tpd mill with gravity and
flotation circuits. The deposit is a quartz monzonite skarn
hosted in limestone with complex geology.
The ideal candidate will be:
a registered professional geologist
with at least ten years of experience in resource
estimation and underground mining operations.
Competence in geological modeling planning software is
required; competence in Gemcom is preferred.
Experience with skarn deposits and small scale mining
situations with nuggety gold is essential.
This position will report to the Manager of Geology.
Preliminary duties will be to conduct underground face mapping,
sampling and "ground truthing" of a resource model, assist the
exploration team with planning and managing the ongoing
ore-definition drilling, and assist mine planning personnel with
the preparation of a mine plan and production forecast.
This is a site-based position with an excellent permanent camp
and facilities. An extended rotational schedule of work at site
is required, working 12 hour shifts. Occasional travel to the
head office in Vancouver will also be required. This applicant
must have a legal right to work in the USA or be eligible for a
TN visa.
